Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety, Homeland Security, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in emergency management or related public safety roles.
- Completion of essential FEMA courses such as IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800 is required; additional certifications or ICS courses preferred.
- Proven expertise in hazard mitigation, risk assessment, and implementation of emergency response plans.
- Strong knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) framework and practical experience using it during emergencies.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across agencies and with the public.
